Soundtrack (Atmospheric) Music
"Atmospherics" is a broad (and more impressive) term that describes what might otherwise might be called "background music." The purpose of these tunes is primarily to set the mood for some visual media and not as stand alone songs. Although, as with other things I've written I'm not afraid to mine these for good ideas to be used elsewhere. Similarly if you hear something you like I can extend or expand on it to meet the requirments of your project.
